Weather Story (Experimental)
Weather Story (click for larger image)
The graphic shown here shows an infrared satellite image taken this morning. Some cloud cover associated with a weak cold front will spread very light rain/snow showers across southeastern Washington and the central Idaho Panhandle this morning. This weather disturbance will move slowly to the southeast and should exit some time early this afternoon. Another weather system, seen here in the Gulf of Alaska, will spread more cloud cover over the region...more so farther north. This system is not expected to produce much in the way of precipitation, but some occasional showers may be possible this afternoon and tonight.

Weather Story #2 (click for larger image)

Thanksgiving day will see our region in between a high pressure ridge to the east and a low pressure trough to the west. The ridge should keep things fairly dry, but the trough will bring with it some unsettled weather. This will add up to a Thanksgiving remaining fairly dry in the morning through the afternoon with increasing clouds and an increasing chance of precipitation Thanksgiving night into Friday.
